Lee Krasner’s quotes describe and explain the goals and frequent developments of her abstract painting art. She reports moreover about her relation with American artist Jackson Pollock and their frequent exchange in ideas, advises, discoveries, or just smart things, concerning painting. They were married till Pollock’s death in 1956 in the U.S… They shared house, bed and painting for c. 15 years.

Krasner was one of the few woman-artists (with Eline De Kooning) of the first generation American Abstract Expressionism, which started c. 1943. In her quotes Lee Krasner looks back to this specifik period. She describes with accuracy and pleasure her artistic developments and all the many swifts. Her short comment on that : ‘For me, I suppose, that change is the only constant’.
