After filling in their timetable on the “Mon emploi du temps” sheet (which contains the correct spelling of subjects) the students will participate in two guided speaking activities:
with scaffold 1 they will express what subject they have when and for how long
with scaffold 2 they will express their feelings about the subjects.
I suggest practising the sentences as they are written on the scaffolds first, in a speed dating situation (students in two circles, the inner one asks the questions and the outer one answers, the inner one moves to the next person on their right after 1 minute). After 5 minutes they swap roles and after a few practices (possibly over several lessons) they can change the words on the scaffolds provided they follow the syntax.
These activities help students memorise accurate structures and develop fluency in speaking.
