A lesson observation on Lord Capulet (originally done with a mixed ability year 10 group). LO: To analyse Lord Capulet’s character in Act One. Lesson includes QQT starter activity to recap nouns/ simile/ plosive/ imperatives (devices which students will need when they come to write ideas up); model response and differentiated group task with instructions and a writing frame to support weaker students with the completion of the main activity. Six key Lord Capulet quotes have been used in the lesson to convey a sense of character in Act One. Peer assessment plenary (grid/ checklist) included.
