Russolo’s artist quotes are partly taken from his Futurist manifesto ‘Art of Noises’. Russolo describes himself in his artist-quotes as a Italian Futurist painter-artist, but also strongly fascinated by ‘simultaneity’ in Images and in Sounds. He strived to realize this ‘simultaneity’ in music, moreover in a clear visual way in his own painting art.

Russolo was a painter ànd music composer in Italian Futurism. He was author of the famous Futurist music piece (and its Futurist Manifesto) ‘The Art of Noises’, (1913). He was close friends with Futurist artist Umberto Boccioni.
