This is the first in a series of posters trying to promote mathematics through a different avenue - SCUBA diving.

I’ll try and compile an area of SCUBA diving alongside with a relevant area of mathematics in the National Curriculum, how far I can get will depend, but there is a high amount of mathematics in SCUBA diving.

This week I’ve started the first in a few posters that will be upcoming revolving about the topic of Pressure. This week begins by looking at how pressure varies with depth in water.

I hope this is of use to some people - please rate/review if it is.

Sorry for the shameless plug of my little Mat Duxbury Diving logo. Trying to promote the sport to others too!

Hi Mat - Great idea (because I have had the same one!). I've not long got back from a school expedition to Tanzania where we did Scuba diving so I am going to design a series of lessons. I think the hobby hits a lot of the "when do I use this?" haters :). Will be sure to share
