Miracles Scheme of Work
4-5 Lesson Miracles Scheme of Work

Originally planned for a very able Y8 class. This can easily be adapted for Y9 or Y10. The 4-5 lessons are as follows:

1. What is a miracle? - Looks at the definitions of Hume, Swinburne and R.F. Holland. Students then apply the definitions to 4 potential modern miracles.
2. Arguments for and against miracles. Students will explain and evaluate three key arguments both for and against miracles.
3. The Miracles of Jesus - Students will apply prior learning as well as different Christian perspectives on miracles to create group work. The lesson is designed for 8 groups but can be done with fewer.
4. Assessment.
5. Assessment review (may not take a full lesson)
