With thought provoking facts and figures to stimulate discussion and some fun experiments for students to try, this lesson is linked to the KS2 computing and design and technology curriculum and looks at four key questions:
• Who uses mobile phones and why?
• When were mobile phones invented?
• How do mobile phones work?
• Staying safe on your mobile phone with tips for staying safe online.
This lesson will take around 40 minutes to work through in class plus time for the suggested practical activities. It includes a short video on YouTube which can be accessed direct from the PowerPoint presentation or using the web link provided. Accompanying teachers’ notes are also available.
