On 23 June, citizens of the UK will vote in a referendum to decide whether they should remain in the European Union or withdraw from it. Britain has been a member of the EU and its forerunners since 1973. Making the decision will require careful consideration on questions of politics, economics, identity and more. So what are the issues? And what exactly does the EU do?
