Presentation 1 and Lesson Plan 1 - on the topic of making promises and relate to children’s experiences of making and breaking promises and that ‘bad secrets’ are disguised as promises.

Presentation 2 - Tells the story of Noah and God’s covenant/promise to the world with colourful pictures - includes whole class activities.

Each lesson plan refers to the numbered slides and what activities children undertake to achieve the learning objectives.

• Lesson 1 - What are promises/making and breaking promises - 2 differentiated worksheets - Link to SEAL - Promising not to misbehave, to share classroom equipment etc.
• Lesson 2 - Noah is chosen - 2 differentiated worksheet activities that include describing Noah’s character from the text/labelling.
• Lesson 3 - Building the ark/people laughing at Noah - Cut/paste activity cutting out animals to stick onto the ark then colour in.
• Lesson 4 - The Flood and after - Cut/paste sequencing activity to show how it was safe for Noah to leave the ark with Answer Sheet.
• Lesson 5 - Recount of the story - Sort the paragraphs in order on PowerPoint then differentiated writing activities at tables/colour in rainbow.

Link Lesson 5 to Art - make a rainbow poster and children write what they promise to do on strips of paper.
