OCR GCSE (9-1) Music Listening Starters Student Workbook Collection

A set of student workbooks containing over 70 worksheets to use in conjunction with the OCR GCSE (9-1) Music Listening Starters Part 1-3. These starters are an ideal 15-20 minute activity that cover stylistic musical features, key terminology, music theory, score reading and simple analysis. They include links to YouTube resources and other suggested listening material, as well as additional tasks exclusive to these resources that aim to engage and support student progress in the classroom. Marks are awarded for each task and guidance on appropriate responses can be found in the footnotes of the OCR GCSE (9-1) Music Listening Starters Part 1-3. The main aim of these resources is to engage students as soon as they enter the classroom, familiarise students with the OCR GCSE Music content, develop their listening skills and theoretical understanding as an ongoing priority, and prepare them for the listening exam. These worksheets can be adapted in order to provide teachers with an effective method of assessing student understanding of key musical concepts through low-stakes testing.
