This grade predictor is a new and improved version of a previous document. It is designed to be used alongside the new OCR GCSE specification. It is a very user friendly format which even gives you prompts on how to use the format simply by selecting a heading title.
The spreadsheet can be used to calculate an overall judgement based on the completion of 3 sports, two mock exam papers and the AEP.
It can also be used as an ongoing tracker which calculates a Termly end of unit grade (exam out of 40 marks) and takes into consideration a number of practical grades depending on the Term. The 1st term will use 1 sport entry, 2nd term - 2 sport entries and finally the end of year exam uses 3 sports.
Remember the practical and AEP grades are now calculated based on several areas each worth 20 points. The system then calculates an average score and records it on the front page. Each exam is out of 60 points. You can enter your students target grade and an indicator will let you know if they are on or below target and a class percentage for each will be displayed.
*It is important to note that as this 9-1 specification has not had a full run through yet, no official grade boundaries have been issued. OCR have advised to use last years grade boundaries however, I am aware that the new 9-1 does not exactly convert to the old A*-G. I have therefore adjusted the grades slightly based upon information provided from OFQUAL and the DfE. These grades can therefore only be an estimate however it will be as close as you can get until the official boundaries are released after the first run through. I have put the old boundary scores for guidance on the grade boundaries sheet which you can adjust to if you wish.*
