This has the great advantage of it not having to be marked by the teacher!
It also provides a useful check for the student on how much they have learned. It is also useful for revision.

The quiz spreadsheet consists of 35 question aimed at testing the facts that need to be learned.
It is a set of demanding questions which require a thorough knowledge of elementary particles.
The student must enter their name before the full questions are revealed.
You can see what it looks like from the screenshot.

So the students in a class do not all get the same set of questions there are 3 different sets which depend on the length of the student’s name. (A keen student could do all 3 sets by entering suitable variations of their name).
You can see what they look like from the screenshot of the answers (the first 8 questions of each set are shown).

The files PARTICLES Quiz ABC, PARTICLES Quiz Abcde and PARTICLES Quiz A B CDEF represent 3 different names which give the 3 sets of answers.

Students need to be very accurate with their spelling and must not type in any extra spaces in their answers.
Each question is marked immediately which gives instant feedback and also wrong answers can be corrected.
