One of the best ways to help our students to have a growth mindset is by talking to them about their “inner voice” and how it sometimes tells them things that aren’t always helpful. Teach them to challenge their negative inner statements with more positive alternatives.
Do you teach kids to motivate themselves in the face of a challenge? Do you want to help them to improve their mood and confidence. This mini-book is a PERFECT project to help children identify their feelings and thoughts during different situations in school, with friends, at home or sport teams. This is also a FANTASTIC activity to help your students face their fears with self reflection and confidence, practice positive self-talk and make them feel good about themselves.
Students can color to personalize their mini-books. Encourage your students to read their booklets/responses to their families for reinforcement. Great conversation starter for families as well!
You can also use it in your classroom to celebrate Emoji Day!
