PRIMARY SPANISH LESSON (KS2/3): Describe some family and friends; Fun Adjectives; Listening Activity

Lección 3 in our Learn as you teach Level 1 Spanish Home & Family unit: OBJECTIVE: To describe some friends and family. AGE RANGE: (7-12); KS2 (KS3 Less able/Special Needs) CONTENTS: (i) A power point presentation with a range of Spanish native speaker sound files attached to every item of language with animation designed to support both learners and presenters: Starter: Dinosaur family name song with music; Screens 3-4: Lesson objective and key structures:Soy – I am; Es – He/She is; Screens 5-6: Presenting I am – Soy; Es – He/She is with the twelve fun bean adjective characters; Screen 7: Sentence completion speaking and listening activity with Es – He/She is and the twelve bean character adjectives; Plenary: Close listening activity describing one of the dinosaur family characters.
(ii) A lesson plan with screen by screen guidance and fun activity suggestions on how to present the show to pupils including a complete Spanish/English vocabulary for the whole of the Level 1 Home & Family Unit with grammar notes;
(iii) A b/w illustrated worksheet with 3 differentiated tasks that has been directly linked to the main body of the power point show.
(iv) FREE Level 1 MFL Primary KS2/3 Spanish work scheme detailing the other objectives in the unit and where the lesson falls in the teaching scheme.
