This product was created with the hope of teaching children about Justin Timberlake. It has everything they need to know, including a range of material to allow them to engage with his music and form an opinion on the content.

Included:
Pre-assessment tool: A.K.A a KWL (What I KNOW, what I WANT to know and what I LEARNED). This allows the children to create questions that they want to know about JT’s life and can put them in charge of their own learning, making this activity very child-cantered. When children finish the topic, they can return to their KWL sheet and fill in what they have LEARNED.

Biography: a 1 page biography of Justin Timberlake’s life and music career.

Comprehension – a set of questions to allow children to engage further with the material on Justin Timberlake. Questions will ask children to locate information directly from the text, but also encourage them to use their inference skills and dig deeper.

STRAND: Listening and Responding: using YouTube, encourage a class discussion on the song and guide them to respectfully disagree with each other, while backing up their answers with reasons. Model to children how to respond to song by discussing how it made you feel and the effect of the pace, lyrics etc.

Your opinion matters!!: this is an opportunity for children to give their genuine opinion on some songs by JT. Encourage them to be honest and guide them into how to explain their answers.

Design Time: Children can design their very own album cover for one of Justin Timberlake’s albums.
