A new, 2024 lesson, all about our online privacy and protecting our data. Students will explore the concept of privacy and why it is an important Human Right. They will then investigate how they are unknowingly giving away their personal data online, whilst browsers and social media sites and stores can take this legitimately. Students will then discover how malicious actors can steal data easily and use it for nefarious purposes, whilst learning the best way to protect themselves, their data and their personal privacy.

This lesson is taken from the new EC Publishing Complete PSHE Package which can be found at the EC Publishing website.

The lesson includes creative tasks, match-up literacy-based tasks, analysis tasks, case studies, clip and discussion tasks and much more. Everything is editable and ready to go.

This has been written to cover the 2020-24 PSHE guidance from the DfE and PSHE Association for Health and Wellbeing (focus on Mental Health).
