Newspaper Article - Non-Fiction Model Text - LKS2

I wrote this newspaper article as a non-fiction complement to our Talk 4 Writing unit based on Ben and the Stolen Diamond. I used it in my year 4 class as an example text. We discussed the features of newspapers, looked at vocabulary and structure, then used it to assist with shared and independent writing.

This resource would be suitable for a year 3 or 4 class but could be adapted for UKS2.

The original document included the name of my school and some staff members, but has been edited so it is generic.

I have uploaded a PDF and Word version of the document so that the article can be edited to include your school’s name.
