Presentation designed for use as a starter or plenary activity in KS 3 English. In this presentation there are 60 different challenges , each challenge should last no more than 1 - 2 minutes. I used them in blocks of 6 with my middle ability English group. Every challenge follows the same structure in that the students are given a word with 4 different definitions. Students are asked to identify which is the closest to a correct definition. The presentation can be used interactively or as a pen & paper exercise.
