This 63 slide assembly/lesson should be shown to all KS4 and 5 students. It highlights key issues around sexual health and gives advice and guidance on how to be fully prepared. This assembly focuses on 4 main aspects of sexual health: the law and consent, being ready, contraception and sexually transmitted infections. This could be a series of 4 different assemblies/lessons or can be shortened for one assembly if needed. This topic is now compulsory in schools.

The assembly covers the following for each unhealthy relationship shown:

  • The law and consent (including: what is the law, informative video’s)
  • Feeling ready (including: tips on how to know if you are ready to have sex, myths about sex, informative video)
  • Contraception (including: what is contraception, the different forms of contraception, when to use it, who should I talk to, informative video, etc)
  • Sexually transmitted infections (including: what are STIs, history of treatment, facts and statistics, informative video’s, common STIs, how they are passed, symptoms and how they are treated, etc.)
  • Final Personal reflection questions
