This is a complete presentation on the art, history, design and fashion of the Skirt. This goes from the 1700s to 2019. There are 200 slides so that there is an excellent visual chronology of skirts. This lesson includes a test at the end. The test also has skirt pictures along with its multiple choice options. There are also issue based slides such as: men are only accepted in skirts that are kilts and cassocks in Europe and North America. Yet in the rest of the world men are accepted wearing other kinds of skirts. Likewise, WWI’s bringing in unrestricted movement in skirts along with the disappearance of the servant class. Yet there was a last gasp of laming women with the 1910 appearance of the hobble skirt by designer Paul Poiret.
