This is a Spanish translation resource pack on the topic of new technology with answers and will help pupils prepare for the translation part of the exam.

There are 40 sentences in total, 20 different sentences to translate into each language, which recycle key technology vocabulary, complex and idiomatic structures and specific grammar points.

The sentences include:

  • past, present & future tenses
  • lo que más me fastidia
  • acabo de + infinitive
  • desde hace + present tense
  • imperfect & past description
  • Conditional sentences (si tuviera mi elección/ si fuera rico)
  • Verbs which are followed by an infinitive (suelo, prefiero, evito etc.)
  • ‘gustar’ verbs
  • the use of para + infinitive
  • perfect tense (siempre he soñado con…)

Great resource. I also recommend the ones for sale in the shop. I have bought some and they are tremendously useful. Just one little correction though: "Ayer chateé con mis amigos POR tres horas" is a literal translation from English and does not sound very natural to the Spanish ear. Apparently it was used in the Middled ages (por con valor durativo) , just not heard nowadays. https://www.fundeu.es/consulta/por-con-valor-temporal-3370/
