The Kinetic Geography Challenge

Presentation designed to be used as a starter or plenary in a KS3 Geography class. Each activity should last no more than 2 minutes and will encourage, though gentle competition, focus and concentration on the parts of the students. There are 9 different challenges as listed on the menu slide. Each challenge follows the same format in that a “trigger” image is clicked, this generates a moving word search grid containing a number of examples of the category named. The grid tracks across the slide for 30 seconds before becoming obscured. Pupils then reveal how many of the category they have recognised. Hyperlinks are embedded d throughout the presentation for ease of navigation . There are 21 slides in total.
