This is a brand new resource made in September 2025.

It takes learners through how to make good (and bad) portraits using natural light both outdoors and indoors.

You will need dslr (or film) cameras for this activity - though it could be adapted for smartphone use.

You will need a piece of white board or card, and ideally a photography reflector disc (not head) which are quite affordable online. The details of this are on the lesson. You can opt to do this session with just the white card/board.

All images in this lesson are my own, unless cited otherwise.

There are activities to be done in class and one more suitable to homework.

You are at liberty to change, add, delete bits as you see fit and are appropriate to your context.

Please do NOT use the images or PowerPoint outside of it’s use as a lesson. Thank you.
