These two dynamic Powerpoint lesson plans for intermediate and upper intermediate learners include a range of speaking and fluency activities for you to engage your students both online and in the classroom. These lessons come complete with separate notes for online lesson and are ideal for English language students who are struggling with sentence structure when writing.

Knowing a range of subordinate conjunctions and how they are used is vital for ESL students to improve their writing and pass Cambridge and IELTS exams. Knowledge of these range of function words helps students express their ideas more coherently. Students will learn to use language to show contrast, concession and support their ideas. These presentations offer a variety of tasks and fluency exercises throughout, keeping students fully engaged and assessing their learning as they move through the lesson.

Both presentations can last up to 90 minutes depending on the class size and the use of activities as students are carefully taken step-by-step through the grammar concepts. As with all of the English Evolution Learning presentations, the animated slides and activities in the lesson on getting your students speaking and using the language in context whilst also assessing their knowledge. Most importantly, by the end of the lesson, students will have a clear understanding of why subordinate conjunctions are one of the main building blocks to comparing, contrasting and expressing ideas effectively across sentence level when writing and speaking.
