VIPERS Close Reading Questions SATs Resource to Practise Core Reading Skills #2 Alice in Wonderland

The Reading VIPERS are the six core reading skills that students in elementary or primary school need to master to become successful readers. These skills are closely matched to reciprocal reading strategies and the requirements of the KS2 reading test in England.

This resource provides questions, one for each of the VIPERS, based on a narrative text (provided) that is accessible to children in the 10+ age group. Questions are written to reflect the style of the KS2 reading test in England for support in test preparation but are equally suited to other audiences wishing to develop children’s close reading skills.
