Writing to Persuade: Roman Villa Advertisement (2 week cross-curricular unit of work) KS2.
Creative and fun!!! A project-based approach to learning. Full UNIT OF WORK.

The aim of this 2 week unit of work is to improve children's use of persuasive language to write an effective advertisement.
It contains:
1. A powerpoint to introduce persuasive language for Speaking & Listening opportunities
2. Planning sheets which explain the process of persuasive writing following IPEELL (see below)
3. Resource sheets: WAGOLL to teach from with comprehension sheet, persuasive language mind-map, planning process exemplar, scoring sheet and links to websites.
4. Area & Perimeter lesson plan with resources and example of work. To link with the brochure design aspect of the project.

Note IPEELL is a writing scheme (Introduction, Points, Evidence, Elaboration, Links & Language) a pilot program run by CEP.
