A 6 lesson unit to start children off on the small steps of addition. Differentiated tasks for each lesson, this scheme of work has been used with a year 3 / year 4 class and is suitable for both year groups. Each lesson has mild, spicy and hot tasks and at the start and end of the unit, there is also a pre- and post-assessment to show progression of knowledge.
