Excellent resources (PPT and individual handout) for cultural awareness. I'm using it with my Year 2 pupils in their French lesson. They are singing "Entre le bœuf et l'âne gris" as part of the School Christmas Carol concert so this ties in nicely. My French speakers are happy to share their experiences with the class and we practise pronouncing some of the key words ( e.g. la bûche, la crèche). I also "test" some of their grammatical knowledge ( for example:La crèche: feminine or masc. word? How do we know? etc.) I also play a traditional French song about the legend of St Nicolas.
