Year 5 Reading Comprehension (Non-fiction) - The Challenge of Everest - Interactive Exercise
This interactive reading comprehension exercise is a series of short answer questions, written in a similar style to the Sats reading test papers.
The answer format is multiple choice and includes:

• Justifying inferences with evidence from the text
• Identifying language used for effect
• Identifying main ideas
• Giving the meaning of words in context.
  You can also change the size of text and background colour to make reading easier, if required.
  Answers to questions can be checked as pupils progress through each question. A great resource for revision with the whole class, or for individual practice.
