A series of resources to support GCSE students preparing for their GCSE writing exams. The bundle includes three GCSE writing papers at both foundation and higher level, one for each theme of the new course, and a booklet with 24 90-word questions, eight for each theme (two per topic). This booklet has been picked by TES to be part of their GCSE revision hub. Finally, the resource includes a Complex structures guide, with a variety of tenses and structures to encourage the higher ability students to work independently and use increasingly complex language. Finally, the bundle includes a “Correct the mistakes” activity, which includes 54 sentences (covering all topics) with mistakes in them for the students to correct, all based on some of the most common mistakes I keep seeing in students’ work.

New Spanish GCSE - Theme 3 (Current and future study and work). Writing exam: 90-word questions

This booklet contains eight questions that follow the format of the 90-word questions in the new Spanish GCSE writing exam. They cover all aspects of Theme 3 (Current and future study and employment), and they can be used in lessons, but also as an easy way to set useful homework activities for the students. All questions include four bullet points that the students are prompted to cover, and they explicitly require them to include references to three time frames and opinions (as per the AQA mark scheme). When possible, one of the bullet points starts with 'qué hiciste', a question which appears in many of the AQA samples and that some students often fail to understand. Claim the parcel translation game Mi Trabajo New GCSE Viva AQA

Claim the parcel translation game Activity for revising different verb tenses and topics from new GCSE AQA books. You have a table with different verbs tenses/sentences and project it on your interactive whiteboard/wall. In groups of 2 (max 3) they write the answer in Spanish to one of the parcels/boxes on their mini white boards, come to you at the front of the class (you check) and if they have the answer correct they can claim the parcel/box. You write their names/team name on a post it notes and stick it over the parcel/box on the interactive whiteboard. Then, no one can do this parcel/box anymore. The winner is the group to have most parcels/boxes claimed at the end. Works well as end of module revision or translation practice. Don't forget to feedback!
