National 4/5 Atlantic Slave Trade

National 4/5 Atlantic Slave Trade

This is the first of two packs which covers the full Scottish National 4/5 Atlantic Slave Trade course. The power points (which have all resources in them to be printed) have been created to be straight to the point e.g. basic background information then jump straight into the exam questions (describe & explain) which is great if you are running out of time so simply want the KU for the course. They are very visual in regards to exam revision activities e.g. for every exam question there is a slide of pictures which pupils will annotate. This bundle includes: Intro & start of the Slave Trade (Tropical Crops) Structure & economics of the slave trade Slave Factories Conditions on the Middle Passage Resistance on the Middle Passage Slave Auctions Working conditions on the plantation Living conditions on the plantation

Cowboys Wordsearch Puzzle Sheet Keywords Settler Starter Cover Lesson American History

Cowboys Wordsearch Puzzle Sheet Keywords Settler Starter Cover Lesson American History

Wordsearch Puzzle sheet on the theme of 'Cowboys'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!
