AQA A GCSE Theme C Existence of God: Lesson 7 and 8 Attributes of the Divine and Value of Revelation

AQA A GCSE Theme C Existence of God: Lesson 7 and 8 Attributes of the Divine and Value of Revelation

This is the 7th-8th lesson in the AQA A GCSE thematic unit of work for 'existence of God and revelation' and it is focused on both the attributes of the divine and value of revelation. It is a combination of both elements of the course as I felt the students had covered the attributes of the divine in depth through their Christian and Islamic studies. It is therefore possible to deliver this lesson in 50-60 minutes. The lesson has been fully resourced to a high standard with a range of differentiated tasks (using the good, better, best system). The lesson is designed to challenge the students as well as make them familiar with new concepts, knowledge and how to apply their learning to the exam. I will be adding lessons on a weekly basis so please keep looking! If you choose to use this resource I would really appreciate a review.

An introduction to Christian (Roman Catholic) Saints

An introduction to Christian (Roman Catholic) Saints

This is an introductory PPT plus an 8 page booklet for students to explore the concept of saints in the Roman Catholic Tradition. In our school we do this as an extended homework competition (with prizes) over the half term holiday, which gives the students time to research and complete the whole booklet. The PPT introduces ideas which the students can then work with, however it could be used as a 3 lesson mini SOW even for cover if needed.
