2024 AQA Predicted Exams: Romeo & Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Power & Conflict
AQA style GCSE English Literature exam papers on Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and Power & Conflict, based on what I anticipate might come up this year - all past extracts/poems are excluded.
I have no inside knowledge in terms of what will be on the exams - this is done by considering aspects such as typical extract length, question styles etc. that AQA use and eliminating anything that has already appeared on their published SAMS and past papers.
Presentation for form time
Can be adapted but a basic outline which tells the students what they will be expected to do each day. Space for notices and a thunk - many can be found online.

It has rough timings as to when students should be able to answer the question by and bares in mind methods used by the director and Dickens whilst allowing them to compare the two media types. A Christmas Carol GCSE Revision Board Game
The board will need to be printed on A3 and could be laminated for reuse. This is a really good way of getting students to revisit their learning and knowledge of the characters, themes, context and events of the novella in a fun and independent way.
I have used this before and the students really enjoy it. All you will need it some dice to play.
You could get students to think of their own questions and tasks too as an extension/challenge.
Of Mice and Men Revision Board Game
This covers all of the text including events, characters, themes, context. I used to use this for my GCSE groups and they loved it. All you will need is some dice.
