This pack includes a prescriptive powerpoint in the style of William Morris and outlines 5 lessons (so far) on William Morris and his style. This resource will be being updated with more lessons as this term goes on as I'm currently teaching this. Week 4 of 12- A historical lesson on the societal hierarchy of Ancient Egypt, from slaves to pharaohs! This product contains an 18-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 2 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key roles of ancient Egyptian society: Pharaoh, vizier, nobles, scribes, priests, soldiers, craftsmen, farmers and slaves. Hi there! ~_~ *includes* Extensive Lesson plan Deployment sheet for a TA (great for interview!) Lesson presentation Table labels (helpful for interviews) Learning objective and success criteria labels for childrens’ books A4 document of characters to describe (although I used alternative drawings that I made myself) and some pre-written adjectives to describe given characters for LA children. This lesson would take around 35/40 minutes, and would be perfect for a refresher lesson, or perhaps an interview. It’s greatly tweakable for different year groups and the like. I hope it’s useful for you!

Week 5 of 12- An exploration of daily life as an Egyptian slave, a merchant and a nobleman in the ancient Egyptian civilization. Children will create a daily schedule and engage in drama activities to immerse in the topic. The PPT guides students through learning the key details about daily life as 3 different sects of society: Slaves, merchants and nobles. Week 3 of 6- A no-prep lesson that explores sketching and shading techniques whilst drawing natural objects from observation. Children in grades 1-3 will learn to critique peer’s artwork kindly and use high-level artistic vocabulary to describe their own work. A perfect art unit for Autumn, Spring or Summer! This product contains a 16-slide Teaching PowerPoint that guides students through developing a sketching technique whilst looking at the definitions of topical vocabulary such as line, shape, texture, pattern, tone and sketch. Using the worksheet provided, children are encouraged to draw natural objects such as leaves or flowers with sketching pencils, using the ‘tickle the spider’ technique explained on the slides. Examples of what work may look like are included. This activity can be conducted as a class, or in smaller wellbeing groups to work on mindfulness or calming SEN children during the chaos of the school day. The focus is on gaining digital literacy skills, such as photo editing, uploading and downloading images from Google, cutting out images from their backgrounds and arranging them aesthetically. This lesson is likely to take 1.5-2 hours, and requires the use of natural objects obtained on a nature walk (either in a previous lesson in this unit or at the start of this one!) If you don’t have access to outdoor space for your students, images from online search engines can be used! There's a background assembly powerpoint to create a backdrop (including links to sound effects etc), the lyrics to a version of 'Gold' by Spandeau Ballet with the lyric changed to 'STONE!'
