In this year 8 lesson, students learn how the future tense is formed in French, using some basic examples. Students start by revising aller, before looking at some useful infinitives and then eventually creating their own sentences.

The reflexive verbs from studio 2 are taught in this 2 hour lesson (complete) where we start with choral repetition, before explaining what exactly we mean by a reflexive verb. This is then followed by a memorisation exercise, then a match up, before students are asked to write about their own relationships with people around them using these verbs

This lesson is based around the story of the three little pigs. It has differentiated success criteria, and students focus on the imperfect tense and passé composé in the context of story telling. It has a lot of pair work to get pupils engaging with each other using Spanish, and also expressing their opinions on different sports!

This resource is aimed at a Y10 mixed ability class, and is one lesson as part of the Edexel GCSE French (new spec). The lesson is based around a trip to a Morrocan market place - highlighting some cultural elements such as negotiation. This lesson was used for a top set Y9 class who had started the GCSE Edexcel spec, but can also be used for Y10. Differentiated success criteria help to both stretch and support students through the activities. The lesson gets students watching some French TV, and two choices of homework to consolidate the work done in class.

2 lessons for year 7 on places in town. In this, they learn the vocabulary through a language presentation before completing different activities to re-enforce the new language. These lessons worked really well with my year 7s, and can be used within a whole unit on where you live!
