Joyeuses Paques! Easter is just around the corner. Children will love decorating their own Easter Cards to give out to family and friends!
This resource consists of 8 Easter Cards on the pale yellow background and with black and white centres for your students to colour in or decorate. The cards are A4 size and in .pdf format (not editable). We have also included an acrostic poem template to go inside the card.

This is a great activity that can be used in your classroom while studying states of matter. 24 real life pictures contain images of solids, liquids and gases for pupils to study and sort.
There are 24 pictures in total, 6 per page of A4. To use as a cut and paste sorting activity in their books, choose "Multiple" in Page Sizing and Handling when printing.

Water Transport in Plants Lesson
KS2 Science PowerPoint Lesson and worksheets on water transport in plants.
This is the third lesson in a series of Year 3 Science lessons on Plants. Corresponds to the Year 3 Science statutory requirements: investigate the way in which water is transported within plants.
18 pages including the front cover and Hoppy Times terms and conditions.
In this lesson, students learn the meaning of the plant water transport system; learn to explain how water travels through the xylem tubes of a plant in the process called capillary action; predict and discuss why water is important to each part of a plant; they are also encouraged to make up a dance to explain how the water transport in plants works. Resources needed for the lesson: PowerPoint (included); differentiated worksheets (1 per student); celery stalks cut into smaller pieces for observation of xylem.
Independent worksheets included (differentiated 3 ways).
The PowerPoint text is editable, making it easier to customise and tailor to the needs of your class.
I will also be uploading a Capillary Action investigation to go as an extension to this lesson. Please check back soon.

Measuring Force (KS2 Science Forces and Magnets)
This editable Science PowerPoint lesson can be used as an introduction to studying the topic of Forces. Suitable for KS1 and lower KS2.
It introduces force as a simple concept of push and pull; lets pupils explore the movements of objects when force is applied; invites pupils to measure the force of carrying an object using a force/Newton meter.
The lesson has plenty of opportunities for independent learning and exploration.
It comes with an investigation template and a worksheet with a Venn diagram for sorting forces into push, pull or both.
For this lesson you will need:
1. Large piece of paper / whiteboards for each group for the Starter (optional).
2. Newton meters for investigation (at least 1 per group).
3. Plastic bags to put small classroom objects in (at least 1 per group).
4. Marbles / bouncy balls / soft balls for exploration (at least 1 per group).
5. Force PowerPoint , investigation template and worksheet (all included in the resource).
