These games can be laminated and used with whiteboard pens so can be used again and again, or photocopied. For the 2,5,10 x tables game: Just number 1 dice with numbers 2,2,5,5,10,10 and another dice with 4,5,6,7,8,9. For the 3,4,5 x tables game: Number 1 dice with numbers 3,3,4,4,5,5, and another dice with 3,4,5,6,7,8. For the 6,7,8 x tables game: Number 1 dice with numbers 6,6,7,7,8,8 and another dice with 4,5,6,7,8,9 For the 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 x tables game: Number 1 dice with numbers 3,4,5,6,7,8 and another dice with 4,5,6,7,8,9. Children take turns to roll both dice and circle the number. The first to get four in a row is the winner. My pupils love this game. A fun way to learn those middle calculations that children tend to find trickier to remember. The blank game can be differentiated even further for individual pupils.

Non-Chronological Report Year 2 Age 6-7 Bundle Elephants Home Learning

(0)
A complete bundle for parents and teachers teaching non-chronological reports using the topic Elephants. I have aimed this at year 2 but would be suitable for some Year 1 and year 3 children. Read a non-chronological report about elephants. Answer simple questions about the text. Use the poster to locate features of non-chronological reports. Sort facts into groups and give each group a sub-title. Use the poster on sentence openers and conjunctions to combine facts, using the grouped facts as a plan to write their own non-chronological report about elephants. Everything included: report, facts, questions, photos of elephants, pages for book (or just use as A4 pages), lots of elephant facts, posters/learning aids and instructions. I use my own wooden frog counters… if you like you can get them here… https://www.facebook.com/fluffyduckslearning/shop/ https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/fluffyduckslearning …or just use green counters (you could always draw smiley faces on with permanent pen). A leaflet is included in this pack which gives examples of ways to use the worksheets… the sky’s the limit :-) Please ask if you have any questions. Enjoy!
Spelling Journal 5 or 10 words Look Say Cover Write Check

Spelling Journal 5 or 10 words Look Say Cover Write Check

(0)
I developed these spelling journals years ago after a course gave me the inspiration and I have used them with my pupils ever since. The idea is that they put in words the teacher has highlighted in their work as misspelled in with their writing tasks but they can also be used for class spelling lists as well. The children take ownership by practicing the 5 or ten words through the week, either at home or during school time. The teacher just checks them at the end of the week/when they know all the words and either puts a smiley face in the end column or an arrow. The arrow means that that word gets transferred to the next page to be practiced another week. I have re jazzed these to share.
