This Anti-Bullying Lesson Plan is ideal for teaching key stage 2 students the definition of bullying. It will also help them to understand the difference between conflict and bullying, with specific reference to a power imbalance. The plan also includes a the Bully ladder activity, this is an interactive way for students to start a discussion about how and where bullying can occur. It also promotes further thought on what some people may perceive as conflict, others may perceive as bullying. **Lesson Plan Includes: ** PowerPoint Bully Ladder Resource Learning outcomes: Understand the different types of bullying. This anti-bullying lesson plan encourages students to consider the individual responsibility that they have to respond appropriately to bullying. Students learn the word ‘Upstander’ and identify specific actions they can take to reduce bullying in their school. The lesson also allows students to create their own Upstander Footprint. These can then be used to make a fantastic wall display as part of your schools Anti-Bullying Week. This Anti-Bullying Lesson plan is ideal for Early Years Foundation students and Key Stage 1 students. It can be used during Anti-Bullying Week, or alongside your curriculum. The Lesson Plan comes with a PowerPoint and is supported by two original Anti-Bullying Videos created by OpenView Education. **Video One: Celebrating Difference and Being a Good Friend. ** Students will meet the character of Milly who introduces the lesson. This video provides a fun and engaging way to to start the lesson and to introduce the topic of being a good friend. **Video Two: ‘Why is it Fun to Have a Friend Who is Different From Me?’ ** In this video Milly talks about her friend Philip who’s from Germany. Milly explains how Philip is different from her and how this allows her to learn new things. Learning Outcomes: Learn why it’s fun to have a friend who’s different from you. Learn how we can be a good friend. Understand why we shouldn’t tease or hurt others. Talk about what their friends and family do to help them.
