Westbrook Primary School

Having already supported three learners in gaining QTS and with two about to start, staff at this West London primary school explain why this teacher development programme works so well for them.

We asked the Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, Mentor, a learner on the programme and an NQT who has just completed her first year of teaching to share their experience of Straight to Teaching and how it has helped the school. The benefits, they explain, are wide-ranging, not only for the learner but also for the wider school, the pupils' learning and the development of the mentors who help facilitate the programme.
