Online help clinics for the Professional Skills Tests

TES Institute will be running sessions designed to help potential and trainee teachers refresh their knowledge and prepare for the Professional Skills Tests in Numeracy and Literacy that they must pass before starting their ITT.


Numeracy Test Help Clinics

Split over two sessions, these online, interactive clinics will cover:

  • The application of general arithmetic and key mathematical concepts (percentages, decimals, fractions) in a test environment 
  • Tips and techniques on how to analyse and manipulate numerical and statistical data within test questions
  • Worked examples of each type of test question
  • Strategies on how to cope with timed question in test conditions

One session is available for £25 plus booking fee and both can be accessed for £40 plus booking fee.

Places for each session are limited.

Literacy Test Help Clinic

This session will take attendees through each section that they have to answer questions about as part of their literacy skills test. These are;

  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Punctuation
  • Comprehension

This session is available to attend for £25 plus booking fee
