Founded in 1922, Aberdour is one of Surrey's leading independent preparatory schools, catering for 370 girls and boys aged 2 - 11 years and situated in 12 acres of beautiful countryside. The school is superbly resourced and equipped and offers excellent pay and conditions, small class sizes and many opportunities for professional development.

Aberdour is a thriving community where boys and girls, aged 2 to 11, benefit from learning, playing and growing together in a caring and safe environment. Small classes ensure that each pupil is supported. Through our uniquely designed PAL curriculum, at Aberdour, every child has the opportunity to shine. Children are encouraged to achieve their potential, whilst never being afraid of ‘having a go’ or of asking for help whenever they may need it – in or out of the classroom.     

Being an Aberdorian means being part of our School family – a family that will always be there to support your child. The number of ex-pupils who return to visit tells us that this is still felt by them long after they have left the School. There is a saying, ‘Do not confine your children to your own learning, for they were born in another time’. We never forget that we are preparing children for a modern world.
