About Amity International School, Amsterdam

Empowering our students to thrive is at the core of everything we do. Amity International School Amsterdam is a family-oriented school, proud of the connections with our wider community and Amity Education Group. We are still growing and are ambitious to be a school at the forefront of impactful teaching and learning.

We are a PYP IB World School and we are pursuing authorisation for the MYP and DP. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

Our curriculum is based on the principle that children’s best learning happens when they are engaged and emotionally involved in their education when it is meaningful to them and relates to the world around them. At Amity Amsterdam our students’ educational experiences will be individualised based upon their skills, abilities, interests, needs and learning styles. A fundamental part of our curriculum is the opportunity to go out into the real world, to talk to experts and have a ‘hands on’ experience. This enables children to form a personal connection with their education and deepens their understanding, transforming learning into something vivid and real.

What people say about us

Amity International School Amsterdam has been a brilliant experience so far for my daughters. We have moved from the UK and the school has been welcoming and the girls have settled in really well. All teachers and staff are fully engaged in making learning an exciting and engaging experience. The building is great with natural light flooding in which really adds to the modern classroom.

- Primary Years Parent

“Amity International School Amsterdam is refreshing because it has small classes and we like the school’s no homework policy. We now can enjoy our time after school as a family. The education environment is perfect and offers a variety of after-school activities, diligent teachers, friendly staff members including the Principal. The staff are polite and energetic and help the parents to drive our kids to enjoy their daily life. Overall it is awesome!”

We pride ourselves in supporting and challenging every student to achieve excellence in their behaviour, academic work, sport, the arts, culture, citizenship, spirituality and relationships. We place particular emphasis on providing the students with opportunities to develop leadership and collaborative skills, as well as finding ways for them all to serve others and contribute to the wider community.
