About Bridge Of Don Academy
Bridge of Don Academy is a six-year secondary school located in a suburb of Aberdeen, Scotland. A small school with fewer than 800 pupils, it operates on a shared campus with a primary school and a church.
The school has an extensive range of facilities, such as its own swimming pool and refurbished student kitchens. Bridge of Don Academy does not have its own playing fields, but it has regular access to the facilities of the nearby Alex Collie Sports Centre.

Values and vision
The ethos of Bridge of Don Academy is best described by its motto, “Be honest, Be respectful, Be caring, Be your best”. Students are supported to grow into young adults who not only excel academically, but are also fully equipped with the necessary life skills and emotional intelligence to properly apply themselves in the real world. The secondary school operates an extended school day on Mondays and Tuesdays.
“The inspection team found the following strengths in the school’s work: Young people’s achievements in leadership and wide-ranging sports, cultural and enterprise activities which are very well supported by staff across the school. Staff engagement in professional learning which is leading to improvements in teaching and learning across the school. Partnerships with the wider community which enhance the curriculum and increase young people’s skills for learning, life and work."
