The Diocese of Lismore extends along the coastal strip of NSW from Tweed Heads in the north to Laurieton in the south and Dorrigo to the west in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range.

Catholic education in the Diocese of Lismore is a long standing provider of school education on the north coast of New South Wales. 45 Catholic primary and secondary schools with a combined student enrolment of over 18,500 students, operate in all major urban centres and many smaller towns from Tweed Heads to Laurieton.
