Welcome to the The Discovery Academy where you will discover the inspiring educational opportunities available to our students. Our guiding principle is for every student to strive for excellence in everything they do. We believe that our students should receive a curriculum that is aspirational, relevant and engaging; equipping our students with the essential knowledge and skills for them to thrive in society.

Our ethos is formed on a positive behave culture where students see the value in themselves and each other, demonstrating respect and responsibility not only in the Academy but also within the community and wider environment. We also believe in developing students skills and experiences through our focus on ‘Character’, which includes the development of skills such as leadership, social and emotional skills as well as resilience. Our resilience curriculum specifically allows students to experience a unique package of opportunities that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

We are fortunate to have a vibrant £21 million modern building, providing a first class Teaching and Learning environment, where students of all abilities are inspired, to achieve and succeed. Inclusion is at the heart of our Academy, and our dedicated and professional staff, work tirelessly to ensure the very best outcomes for our students, whilst pastorally ensuring they are kept safe, feel valued and receive the best care.
