About Eden Boys' School, Preston

Eden Boys' School , Preston is a free school based in Lancashire for students aged 11-18. It is an Islamic school.

The school is part of Star Academies. The trust runs both faith-based and non-faith primary and secondary schools. Non-Muslim and Muslim students are welcomed at the school and the school has Muslim and non-Muslim governors and staff. It organises programmes and events to mark key events in the calendars of the main world faiths and important British secular celebrations such as Mothers’ Day. Parents are encouraged to discuss any specific faith needs as part of induction and no student is forced to take part in worship or prayers. The school also encourages its students to work towards 100% attendance. A minimum attendance target of 97% per year (equivalent to the top quartile of all English secondary schools) is needed for any student to attain the Star Baccalaureate.
