GEMS Founders School, Masdar City

GEMS Founders School, Masdar City opened in 2024 as the first GEMS Founders school in Abu Dhabi. Located within Masdar City, the school has a modern purpose-built campus and currently welcomes students from FS1 through to Year 10. With specialist science and computing labs, innovation spaces, food technology, music and drama facilities, libraries, sports halls and outdoor pitches, the campus has been designed to give students plenty of opportunities to learn beyond the traditional classroom.

What makes GFA particularly exciting is its setting and its sense of purpose. Located within one of the UAE’s leading sustainable communities, sustainability is not simply a theme within the curriculum but something that forms part of the school’s wider identity and approach to learning. There is real emphasis on giving students opportunities to be curious, creative and involved in school life, with student voice, wellbeing and UAE identity all forming an important part of the experience

For teachers, joining GFA offers the opportunity to be part of a growing school, contribute to its development and help shape an environment where academic achievement sits alongside creativity, innovation, wellbeing and responsible global citizenship.
