Harris Primary Academy Purley Way is a new academy, which opened in September 2016 as part of the Harris Federation: a London based charity that has more than 20 years’ experience of running successful schools in London. The brand new school opened initially with Reception children and will grow each year.

At Harris Primary Academy Purley Way, you will be part of a team that is laying the foundations and work collaboratively to build a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment, which offers educational excellence for our community and ensures that all children can make the best start to their academic journey.

At HPA Purley Way, we work tirelessly to provide a fun and creative curriculum which evokes and inspires curiosity, and exploration through play.  The individual needs and abilities of every child are extended through tailored, high quality provision.

It is our aim that children achieve two fundamental milestones whilst at Harris Primary Academy Purley Way:

Through a broad and balanced curriculum, our ambition is to inspire and support each child to understand and demonstrate our ‘Golden Rules’ of Showing Respect, Taking Responsibility and Making the Right Choices.

In their first year at school, children are taught to read, taught to write and taught to understand basic mathematical concepts.  Our ethos is that “All children have the right to be safe, happy and respected so that they enjoy their learning and reach their full potential.”
