About Harrow International School Bangkok
Harrow International School Bangkok
Harrow Bangkok is the original Harrow International School in Asia, founded in 1998. The school is thriving, with its own reputation for educational excellence as one of the leading schools in Thailand and South East Asia. The Harrow name is synonymous with quality. Our school blends 450 years of Harrow School’s high academic standards, traditions, and service to the community with innovative education in a vibrant Thai setting. We educate around 1600 students on a beautiful 35 acre green campus in north Bangkok. The school is all through with students from Early Years “Little Lions” to Year 13. Our results at 68% A*-A at A level, 72% A*-A at IGCSE in 2020 are a testament to our outstanding provision.
The campus benefits from state of the art facilities (all available to staff after hours), which alongside classrooms include floodlit tennis courts, a lake for watersports, a swimming pool, gym, together with extensive grass pitches. Our holistic educational philosophy provides extensive super curricular opportunities for enrichment through the diverse Leadership in Action programme, prioritising leadership development along with skills and personal qualities which help to translate academic potential into meaningful fulfilling lives after students graduate. We benefit from close links with Harrow School along with the other schools in the Harrow Foundation family. Education at Harrow Bangkok is at the cutting edge, with our commitment to the High Performance Learning philosophy and world class education.

Bangkok and Thailand
Thailand has coped exceptionally well with the pandemic which means our staff currently enjoy daily life with limited restrictions in place. The quality of the day to day life experienced by our staff is mirrored in Bangkok being recently recognised as the world’s top tourist destination and the best city in the world. Today’s Bangkok is a modern metropolis with shiny skyscrapers and the latest tech solutions as well as an abundance of golden temples and historic buildings. Then there is the richness of Thailand’s beauty with its pristine beaches, rainforest-clad mountains, and ancient historical sites to explore, so you never run out of things to do. For those wishing to take a break, Don Mueang International airport nearby offers a cheap, convenient gateway to other South East Asian destinations.
The remuneration package is highly competitive, with low taxation, a bonus in lieu of pension, comprehensive medical insurance, free accommodation provided, and a low cost of living, meaning our staff have a high standard of living, and can also enjoy holidays in Thailand and the region, while saving money. The average length of tenure at six years is testimony to the fact that our staff enjoy their teaching and the experience of living in this wonderful country. While you are expected to work hard, you can still enjoy a work-life balance which is hard to achieve elsewhere.
Our admin team will assist you from the moment you apply for your role. They work hard to ensure that your move is as seamless as possible. Whether you need help with shipping, visa or general advice, they will be there to answer all your questions, assisting you every step of the way. From the moment you make contact with the onboarding team, you feel like you are already a part of the Harrow family.
Should you wish to experience the high standard of education and rewards that Harrow Bangkok has to offer, all whilst experiencing the wonders of Thailand, then I look forward to receiving your application.

My son is in Year 11 and is taking his IGCSE exams this year. We were first attracted to Harrow Bangkok as it was one of the few schools to offer the British curriculum in Bangkok at that time. But there’s much more this school has to offer. He loves sport and some of the memorable moments for us are the many competitions he has taken part in, both in Bangkok and all around South East Asia. These events always bring out the best in our students and show great teamwork amongst the staff, students and parents. Thank you Harrow Bangkok for some very special memories.- Harrow Bangkok Parent
We joined the school 5 years ago. We had a good impression of Harrow Bangkok from an Open House event, especially the facilities. Also we noticed that the children here are very nice, and would say hello to parents and staff - they obviously feel happy being in the school. Most importantly, I knew my children would fit in at Harrow Bangkok. They have lovely friends here, and they love going to school every day. We like the fact that children are encouraged to try lots of new things. My daughter chooses lots of different after-school activities – she does an activity every day of the week… gymnastics, basketball, swimming, art. It’s great that we don’t need to go outside the school community for any extra activities. My son really enjoys music and sport, which is fantastic as before he joined Harrow Bangkok he was more focused on academic studies. He played in his band at the Benefit Bash which was a highlight for us, and he loves basketball.- Harrow Bangkok Parent
