In the Infant grades, literacy skills are explicitly taught using the two pronged approach of the SWELL access to literacy program and the Jolly Phonics program. The Mathematics program is underpinned by the ‘Go Maths’ program, which focuses on working mathematically and applying processing skills to solve problems related to time, measurement and money.
The school’s rational and aims begins with the statement ‘In choosing to be educators of the faith, we - parents, faith community and staff have been called to respond to the mission of the Church in three ways, to proclaim the Gospel in word and witness to life, to create and to promote Christian community and to witness the Gospel through service.’
